Star Ruby
Stone of Protection

According to Eastern folklore, Star Rubies ward off evil and bring good luck to their owners. But the supply of these auspicious gems is generally very limited.

Features & Traits

Star Rubies display a phenomenon called Asterism. It’s caused by tiny needle-like inclusions that reflect and scatter light within the stone. Star Ruby’s star usually has six rays, and it required skilled cabochon cutting to bring it out.

  • Enhance energy, development and protection.
Tanzanite
Stone of Prosperity

Tanzanite identified as a variety of the mineral Zoisite. Spectacular and magnificent is the Deep Blue of Tanzanite, ranging from ultramarine to a light Purplish Blue. The most coveted colour is a Blue which shows a purplish hue shimmering around it, which is extremely spectacular in sizes above ten carats.

Features & Traits

This unique gemstone only occurs in one location – Tanzania. It shows strong pleochroism, which means it displays different colours from different directions.

  • Facilitate spiritual awareness.
  • Stimulate insight.
  • Dispel and transmute negativity.
Topaz
Stone of Fidelity

The Egyptians said that Topaz was coloured with the golden glow of the mighty sun god Ra. This made Topaz a very powerful amulet that protected the faithful against harm. The Romans associated Topaz with Jupiter, who also is the god of the sun.

Most consumers think topaz is easily recognisable. But what they think of as topaz could actually be the more common citrine and smoky quartz.

  • Promote understanding and compassion.
  • Protect the open-hearted from hurt and pain.
Tourmaline
Stone of Hope

Tourmalines are one of the most fascinating gemstones because of its diverse shadings. One stone may show one colour when seen from one direction, and another colour from another direction. Sometimes, a single stone may show two separate and distinct bands of colour.

Features & Traits

Until the development of modern mineralogy, people identified tourmaline as some other stone (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald etc) because of its exciting colours.

Healing

  • Radiate protection for wearer.
  • Repel negative energy.
  • Defend against stress and diseases.
Tsavorite
Stone of Beauty

Kenya’s Tsavo National Park is home to some of the largest remaining populations of Africa’s legendary animals. In the early 1970s this wildlife wonderland also gave the world an exciting new gem – a transparent Green variety of the Garnet species.

Features & Traits

Tsavorite’s intense Green colour and the fact that it’s generally untreated makes it an exotic, high-quality alternative to Emerald.

Healing

  • Invigorate senses.
  • Enhance natural and inner beauty.
  • Promote business success.
Turquoise
Stone of Prosperity

In earlier times Turquoises were sometimes thought responsible for the material wealth of their bearers. Persian philosopher Al Kazwini wrote: “The hand wearing a Turquoise and using it as a sealing stone, will never be poor.”

Features & Traits

Turquoise is one of the world’s most ancient gems. The gem’s name comes from the French expression Pierre tourques, or “Turkish stone”. It is plentiful and available in a wide range of sizes.

Healing

  • Alleviate rheumatism, gout, stomach problems, viral infections.
  • Increase growth, muscular strength.
  • Neutralise over-acidity.
Zircon
Stone of Prosperity

Zircon is an incredibly brilliant stone. It is a very clean stone that displays very few inclusions. Natural Zircon today suffers for the similarity of its name to Cubic Zirconia, the laboratory-grown diamond imitation. Some don’t realise that there is a beautiful natural gemstone called Zircon.

Features & Traits

Zircon is one of the heaviest gemstones, which means that it will look smaller than other varieties of the same weight.

Healing

  • Radiate durability, steadiness, integrity.
  • Ease depression and insomnia.
  • Promote honour and wisdom in its owner.
