Alexandrite is a highly prized variety of Chrysoberyl family, only forms when Aluminum/Beryllium and Chrome (which rarely occurs in nature) come together. This rare gemstone is named after the Russian Tsar Alexander II, it became the national stone of Tsarist Russia.

Cat’s Eye

A member of the Chrysoberyl family. The Cat’s-eye effect called Chatoyancy, is caused by parallel needle-like inclusions within the stone. Chalcedony is one of the world’s oldest, most abundant, and most popular gems, is a very fine-grained (Cryptocrystalline) variety of the Silica Mineral Quartz. Mineralogists consider Chalcedony a variety of Quartz, but gemologists and gem professionals treat

the two as separate species. Considered a sacred stone by the Native American Indians, chalcedony nurtures and promotes brotherhood and goodwill.
